OPENPLAY LEGAL
Privacy Notice
Effective July 10, 2026
OpenPlay is operated by Reunion Technologies, LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Reunion,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This notice explains how information is handled when you use the OpenPlay website and directory (the “Service”).
1. Information we handle
Information processed on your device
When you enter a city or ZIP code, OpenPlay compares it with its list of supported markets in your browser. When you choose “My location,” your browser asks for permission to access your device’s location and uses the coordinates in your browser to select the nearest supported market. OpenPlay does not transmit or store the city, ZIP code, or precise coordinates through this search feature. The selected market is sent to our server so we can return listings for that market. If you choose to create a player account, we separately store the supported metro you select as your preferred market.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and security providers may automatically process technical information needed to deliver and protect the Service, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, referring page, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand anonymous page visits, referral sources, general device characteristics, and approximate geographic areas. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and is designed to provide aggregated, anonymized reporting.
We also use Google Analytics to understand visits, referral sources, page interactions, normalized metro searches, and selections of venue booking links. Google Analytics may process device and browser details, approximate geographic area, referring pages, and a first-party analytics identifier. OpenPlay does not send the precise coordinates or raw city or ZIP text entered in the search field to Google Analytics.
Booking-link activity
When you select “View & book,” OpenPlay records the associated event, venue, market, booking provider, destination host, page path, timestamp, and a randomly generated click identifier used to prevent duplicate records. We do not attach an account, name, email address, precise location, or stored IP address to this booking-intent record. The destination link also contains standard UTM campaign parameters so the venue or booking provider can identify traffic referred by OpenPlay.
Information you provide
If you create an optional player account, we process your email address and preferred OpenPlay market so we can keep you signed in and open the local listings you selected first. Your email and preference are not displayed publicly.
If you use the venue-suggestion form or email us to suggest a venue, request a correction, exercise a privacy right, or ask for support, we receive your email address, message, and any facility details or other information you choose to include.
If you use the venue portal, we process your account email, facility role, claim and verification details, and the venue profile information you submit. Public profile information may include facility descriptions, image links, phone numbers, public email addresses, court details, amenities, hours, and membership information. Your sign-in email and claim notes are not displayed publicly unless you separately add an address as the facility’s public contact email.
Listing information
OpenPlay processes publicly available or venue- or provider-authorized schedule information, such as venue names and addresses, event names, dates and times, stated skill levels, prices, availability, and booking links. OpenPlay is not intended to collect player rosters or other participant information.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- return listings for the market you select;
- measure traffic sent to venues and evaluate listing usefulness;
- monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and protect security;
- respond to support, correction, removal, and privacy requests;
- enforce our terms and protect our rights; and
- comply with law and valid legal process.
3. Cookies and tracking
OpenPlay uses cookie-free Vercel Web Analytics, Google Analytics, and first-party outbound click measurement as described above. Google Analytics uses a first-party analytics cookie to distinguish browsers and sessions. Optional player and venue-manager accounts use essential authentication cookies to keep users signed in and protect account controls. We do not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, session replay, or targeted-advertising pixels. Essential technologies may be used by our hosting and security providers to deliver and protect the Service. Where required, we will provide choices for nonessential analytics technologies.
4. How we disclose information
We may disclose information:
- to vendors that help us host, store, secure, and operate the Service, including Vercel, Supabase, and Google;
- to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Reunion, users, or others;
- in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business; or
- with your direction or consent.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. OpenPlay does not use personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Third-party sites
OpenPlay links to venue and booking-provider websites. Those third parties control their own services and privacy practices. Information you provide after leaving OpenPlay is governed by the third party’s privacy notice, not this one.
6. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice, including providing the Service, maintaining security and business records, resolving disputes, and complying with law. Retention varies by data type. Public event history is generally removed after 30 days. Aggregated analytics and venue referral records may be retained as business records. Player accounts and saved market preferences are kept while the account remains active. Venue-manager accounts, claims, memberships, and submitted profile content are kept while the account or venue relationship remains active and for a reasonable period afterward; limited backups and logs may remain for longer where reasonably necessary.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information about you, and to appeal a decision regarding a request. You may also have rights concerning targeted advertising, sales, or certain profiling; OpenPlay does not currently engage in those activities.
To make a request, email support@tryreunion.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
9. Children
OpenPlay is a general-audience directory and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the Service changes. We will post the revised notice here and update its effective date. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
